Aschen medicine has been seen to be extremely advanced compared to its Earth counterpart, rendering traditional doctors obsolete. Examples of their impressive medical technology include infallible diagnostic machines and machines that can mend broken bones in seconds. The Aschen have also developed drugs that can double human life expectancy and vaccines against cancer. A pandemic on the Aschen world of Volia several years before 2001 was also easily cured by the Aschen, although it's possible, even likely, the pandemic itself was created by the Aschen in the first place.
