Trinium

An arrowhead from a Salish arrow made out of trinium.

"Hey, arrows can hurt!"
"Only if you're stupid enough to get hit in the ass with one.
"
Rodney McKay and Ronon Dex[src]

An arrow is a primitive form of projectile weapon which consists of a pointed tip attached to a long shaft with fletchings on the rear for stabilization. It is fired from a bow, which can range from a simple hand-drawn bow to more advanced, spring-loaded crossbows. It is a common weapon among the more primitive civilizations of both the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies, who for various reasons have had their technological development stunted. Compared to more advanced projectile and energy weapons, they are both inaccurate and far less destructive, but still quite deadly if they hit a vital organ. Arrows can be coated in poison to make even non-fatal strikes deadly by exposure, though this does not affect the performance of the weapon as a whole. (SG1: "Spirits", SGA: "Condemned", "Childhood's End")

Colonel Jack O'Neill devised a simple bow when his team encountered Apophis on the Nox homeworld. As Apophis' energy shield protected him from any projectile moving at a high velocity. O'Neill reasoned that an arrow would likely be slow enough to bypass the shield. (SG1: "The Nox")

Dr. Rodney McKay was once shot in the Glute with one. (SGA: "Sateda")
