Ares was a Goa'uld System Lord grasping for power during Anubis' reign of terror. When Ba'al took control of the Kull warriors, Ares fled back to one of his former planets. He was killed by Colonel Jack O'Neill over the planet Arkhan's World using a Puddle jumper that fired drone weapons into Ares ha'tak. (SG1: "It's Good To Be King")
