Dr. Archimedes was a Tau'ri scientist from Greece. He was a member of the Atlantis expedition who worked in Atlantis in 2008. He was known to have been infatuated with Teyla Emmagan.

When Dr. Rodney McKay drew a comparison with "Archimedes", Lt. Colonel John Sheppard thought that he meant the expedition member. McKay was instead, however, referencing the ancient Greek mathematician of the same name, Archimedes. (SGA: "Broken Ties")
