Ara is a former member of the Satedan Planetary Forces turned Wraith worshipper and was a friend of Ronon Dex.

Biography

1998

During the Battle of Sateda in 1998, she, Rakai, Tyre, Marika and Hemi were on another planet fighting the Wraith, but were captured. During their imprisonment, she was constantly fed on and given the Gift of Life several times until she swore allegiance to the Wraith. (SGA: "Reunion")

2007

She then went with Rakai and Tyre to a planet where they finally came across Ronon and his team. Upon traveling together to a Wraith facility, Ronon eventually found out that she was a Wraith worshipper. Ronon denounced and fought them. Ara was the first to be killed when she surprised Rakai, who slit her throat open. (SGA: "Reunion")

Notes

• A scene written for Reunion but ultimately never shot featured Ronon's squad before the fall of Sateda. In it a young Ara on her first offworld op accidentally injuries Hemi thinking he was a Bola Kai combatant. Ronon comes to the groups rescue much to Ara's relief.
• A scene written for Reunion but ultimately never shot featured Ara in the aftermath of her first offworld op telling Ronon that after her failure she intends to transfer to a different division so that she won't endanger the team again. Ronon convinces her that she has potential and to stay on with them.
