Several years prior to the events aboard Destiny, she became pregnant but she told Matt that she wasn't going to have an abortion as she was only 16 at the time. (SGU: "Air, Part 3")
2009[]
When Matt visited her in 2009 while using the Communication Stones, he discovered that she wasn't able to go through with terminating the pregnancy. She told him she was making a living as an exotic dancer, so Matt arranged to have his monthly Air Force paycheck deposited directly into her bank account so she could resume her plan to finish college and enter law school. While she was initially grateful, she took offense that the offer was meant to have her quit dancing. It's unclear whether Matt followed through with committing his paycheck to her, as she refused to quit dancing. (SGU: "Life")
