Amounet was a Goa'uld and the wife of Amun and the Queen of Egypt sometime during the 12th dynasty.

Dr. Daniel Jackson, whilst working at Stargate Command, received a collection of artifacts from his colleagues in Egypt which contained an amulet of Amounet. The front panel of this amulet depicted Amounet as she is about to enter the doors of the palace, with two female handmaidens dressed in blue on either side, with their hands clasped in a traditional prayer symbol.
