American Sign Language is a language on Earth.

The Unas at Phoenix Site are given a training course in learning American Sign Language so they can have a way to communicate complex ideas. This was the result of Dr. Daniel Jackson's advise to the SGC to teach the Unas another method of communication, as Unas and Humans have different mouth shapes. The Unas language is difficult for a human or Jaffa to master as it requires a different jar structure to pronounce correctly.[1] (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
