Altman was a Major in the United States Air Force stationed at Stargate Command and leader of SG-5.
Biography[]
2005[]
He joined Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter on a mission to P3X-584 but ended up on the wrong planet. Once Carter was able to bypass the Call forwarding device, he and his team joined all of SG-1 on the planet. He set up the equipment and determined the gravitational disturbance detected was a naturally occurring phenomenon. He later joined Dr. Daniel Jackson in the DNA resequencer lab and removed the Ascendometer. He hooked it up to Khalek, who then used his telekinetic abilities to destroy a computer monitor, injuring Altman. He would later recover. (SG1: "Prototype")
