Altairan power pack

Altairan power packs were small portable power sources that fit into the android versions of SG-1 created by Harlan. The power packs were created by the Android Samantha Carter.

When in their underground city on Altair they did not need the power packs due to an energy field generated there. However, the androids were being built after SG-1, whom wanted to leave the planet, and continue their fight against the Goa'uld. This is the reason the Android Carter created the packs.

The Power Pack allowed the androids to leave Altair for 48 hours and were also built to detect any kind of tampering, such as if someone tried to take apart the packs, they would explode. (SG1: "Double Jeopardy")
