Alpha team was an android replica team of SG-1 created by the black-ops organization called NID. The team's goal was to collect advanced alien technology for NID so that it could be sent to Earth and used to defend Earth from Goa'uld and other foreign threats. Where later duplicate teams were modified to try and create a group more receptive to the NID's agenda, this version of the team were basically the same as the original, save for a few key details "deleted" from their memory such as the coordinates of Earth.
