Alexander Britski was an archaeologist who was an expert on Mesopotamia, who worked on the Russian Stargate Program.
Biography

Six days before the program was shut down, he left Earth via the Stargate as part of Major Valentine Kirensky's team. Ultimately he and his group were trapped in a ziggurat. He was the last one to survive and committed suicide with the help of cyanide pills. (SG1: "The Tomb")
