Aldwin was a member of the Tok'ra who had several dealings with Stargate Command.

Biography

1999

During SG-1's mission to rescue Jacob Carter from Netu, the Tok'ra High Council ordered Aldwin to launch a weapon at the moon's core that would destroy the moon as well as Sokar's Ha'tak in orbit in a chain reaction. However, the plan would also claim the life of SG-1, Martouf, and Jacob Carter. When Major Samantha Carter contacted the Tel'tak, Teal'c tried to stop him from launching but failed. When Teal'c was going to use the Tel'tak to intercept the Transportation rings Matter stream, he tried to stop him so Teal'c locked him in the cargo hold of the Tel'tak. Seeing he couldn't stop Teal'c, he advised him that he must bring the ship to a complete stop or risk missing part of the transmission which would be fatal and warned that that was dangerous due to Sokar's ship. Teal'c succeeded and Aldwin alerted him to that fact and later apologized for doubting him. Aldwin's plan to destroy Sokar's ship worked and Sokar was killed in the blast. (SG1: "Jolinar's Memories", "The Devil You Know")

2001

Aldwin was later sent to Stargate Command to verify that Shifu was indeed the supposed Harcesis by using the zatarc-detecting device. He was told to stop by Dr. Daniel Jackson because the information in his memory was too dangerous. Shifu then ascended. (SG1: "Absolute Power")

2002

Several years later, during the Tok'ra's plan to eliminate the System Lords during their high-level meeting, Aldwin guided SG-17 through the Tok'ra base on Revanna. Aldwin was killed when Zipacna attacked the planet, destroying the Tok'ra base. A close range blast from an Al'kesh flung Aldwin into the air and upon landing headfirst, he broke his neck and died. (SG1: "Summit")

Notes

  • Unlike other Tok'ra, Aldwin is seen solely in control of his body with his symbiote never taking control on-screen. Aldwin's status as a host is only ever really seen when he dies because his eyes give off the telltale glow signifying the death of his symbiote as well.
  • Aldwin is the only Tok'ra known to have ever killed a major Goa'uld System Lord aside from the death of the symbiote of the last Ba'al clone during his extraction. Aldwin was directly responsible for the death of Sokar.
  • He is credited in Jolinar's Memories, but he does not appear in the episode.
