Alava, designated P2Y-261 is a planet with a Stargate and is home to the Alavans.
Overview[]
Alava is a world that possesses a very pleasant climate and a variety of terrains. Though most towns were built on the coastlines, some minor towns were built further inland as was the case of Herri. The Goa'uld Mari used the Touchstone to control the weather of Alava, which brought favorable weather conditions and created good harvests. Although she also brought heavy rains and early frosts when she was unhappy. (RPG: "The Eyes of the Storm")
History[]
Mari brought the Alavans to the planet from Earth, being the descendants of early Spaniards. Mari was reclusive and contently lived under a mountain near the Stargate with her Prime and Jaffa. The Alavans mostly lived on Alava's coastlines, however there was a town further inland called Herri that was the closest town to the Stargate.
Alava was visited by Dr. Avery Freeman, Phoenix-3, and another Phoenix team. (RPG: "The Eyes of the Storm")
Indigenous animals[]
Alava has piebald wild mountain horses that get lured down the mountain and tamed for use in and around Herri.
