Alaska is a state outside the continental United States of America on Earth.
History[]
The city of Fairbanks, where Major Samantha Carter claimed a UFO crashed near in 1978, is located in this state. In the alternate timeline created by Ba'al, SG-1 were taken to Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska by the Alexandria to be debriefed and meet Major General Henry Landry. The United States purchased Alaska from the Russian Empire on March 30, 1867, for $7.2 million ($121 million adjusted for inflation) at approximately two cents per acre ($4.74/km²).
