Colonel Jack O'Neill and Captain Samantha Carter received the medal for their role in destroying Apophis' and Klorel's Ha'tak ships in Earth's orbit. Originally slated for a ceremony in Washington D.C., the event turned private at Stargate Command following the death of Armin Selig, with Major General George S. Hammond presenting the awards.
