Aesir was the name given to the principle group of gods in Norse mythology, including Thor, and Odin. The K'Tau believed that their god Freyr belonged to this group. (SG1: "The DVD Collection 1")
Its possible that the Aesir were the general group of Asgard from the Ida galaxy as the Vanir were a renegade group in the Pegasusgalaxy though this is speculation.
