Aerial Zat'nik'tel platform is presumed to be a platform or satellite positioned in the atmosphere or in orbit of the planet Medieval planet. The platform creates a discharge of energy, visually similar to electricity, which is fired at a targeted location. The effect of anyone caught in the blast radius is very similar to the effect of a Zat'nik'tel.
After the Canon's death, the ring was retrieved by Stargate Command, and was then passed on to Area 51, where it was studied. Researchers at Area 51 could not find a use for the ring without the Aerial Zat'nik'tel platform. (SG1: "The DVD Collection 17")
