Adrenaline is a hormone and a neurotransmitter. The adrenaline has different functions in the body that regulates heart rate, blood vessels. It is secreted from the adrenal medulla in response to stimulation from sympathetic nervous system.

Asgard don't possess the adrenaline gland that produces epinephrine to the system. (SGA: "Allies")

Adrenaline is called Kalach-mek in Goa'uld. (SG1: "Hostile Ground")

During the experiment with the Atanik armbands, discovered by the Tok'ra Anise, doctor Janet Fraiser reported that the adrenaline levels of Major Samantha Carter were at a dangerous level. She recommended to General Hammond that the experiment should be stopped for the time being, until more information became available. (SG1: "Upgrades")

In 2004, Teal'c of Chulak tested a modified virtual reality pod in an exercise program. After being killed many times in the game, Teal'c later flatlined in real life. As such, Doctor Ian Carmichael gave Teal'c an injection of adrenaline to get his heart started. (SG1: "Avatar")
