Dr. Abrams was a scientist who traveled to the Pegasus galaxy with the original members of the Atlantis expedition.

2004[]
He and Dr. Brendan Gall accompanied Dr. Meredith Rodney McKay and Major John Sheppard to investigate a Lagrangian Point satellite that had been discovered on Atlantis' sensors.
Before they could investigate the satellite, the Puddle Jumper detected a Wraith distress signal. Sheppard decided to take the scientists and investigate the disturbance. Several minutes after entering a downed Wraith supply ship, Abrams and Gall encountered a Wraith commander who had recently awoke from hibernation. It pushed Gall aside and fed on Abrams, killing him.
Abrams may have also had the Ancient Technology Activation gene as he was seen using a Life signs detector. (SGA: "The Defiant One")
