^I think he means that he views it as a movie, not a series (which makes sense considering the short runtime)
I generally don't like big companies like amazon buying other companies.
Don't know what they do with Stargate. But through there shop they can collect tons of data. So they know exactly how popular the franchise is.
Even better: they can compare it's popularity to that of other sci fi shows from that time.
We'll see if to amazon it seems popular enough to produce more of it
^^ i agree. some mysteries here and there are good
Oh my god this looks extremely good
Trust me: Every Stargate fan loves him. The humor this character brought into the show was fantastic. But he could be very serious aswell, when the situation demanded it.
RIP. I really liked him and always thought it was great that there was whole movie with Baal as the main villain
They all were good but Weir is easily my favorite.
I guess it was supposed to look 'old' and less modern in comparison to something like Atlantis
I like that we got different teams over time. It gave the show more variety. That's good.
But if I have to pick a fav team it's of course the original.
Hard question. I picked Weir. But Hammond would have also been a good choice

I'm feeling a bit more optimistic
I don't think that will happen for two reasons:
1) I don't know where you get your informations about that AI stuff from. I haven't heard anything about it. But I know that so far there aren't many examples of photorealistic looking CG humans. The only ones I can think of are short scenes in big budget theatrical movies (like Blade Runner 2049). I don't think there will be a tv series with an entire CG cast (at least not one that looks photorealistic) anywhere soon.
2) I highly doubt that the studio is interested in continuing SGU. It's been about 9 years since it ended (about 14 years in 2025) and it was the least popular show in the franchise. The studio propably wants to generate new fans and it would be easier to do that by rebooting the franchise

It has been 9 years since the series ended and SGU was the least popular of the three shows (though I really like it). I believe that from a business point of view it would be best to attract a new & younger audience. And the best way to do that would be by rebooting the franchise.
I'm pretty sure SGU will never be continued (if you don't count the comics - which you shouldn't count)
If they ever make stargate movies or tv-shows again I bet it'll be a reboot
