This is just the nerd in me but if I was going “off-world” to an unknown alien habitat I wouldn’t be carrying around a small caliber SMG/PDW. 9mm (MP5) and 5.7mm (P90). Personally I would opt for an M-16 due to the balanced stopping power, reliability, and relative low weight. I may carry around a MP7 for personal defense and either arm a single or all members of my team with a shotgun as a tertiary weapon system for breaching/CQB. I know this is delving way into it or maybe I’m just an M-16/AR-15 fanboy. What weapons would you take with you and do you agree or disagree with this?

@Zebogodhood I actually have grown to like em all but I understand some people may have their favorites. When Mitchell first took over for O’neill I was kinda bummed to be honest but his demeanor is much like O’neill’s so the comical aspect isn’t lost much. While Vala herself is funny as shit, Vala and Daniel Jackson’s bickering and dynamic is quite comical and enjoyable. I also feel that Sam’s humor comes out a little more with Mitchell as they can banter more because they are of same rank.
Chief Harriman and Master Siler don’t get enough love and respect. They were crucial to SG1’s success.
The more and more I watch SG1 the more I wish I got a chance to be issued the BDU(Battle Dress Uniform). It really is a good looking uniform.

In SG1, season 8, episode 1, the replicators that were “bound” by the time dilation device were being in the process of being consumed by a black hole. In fact they were already in the even horizon. Thor stated that the Asgard had calculated that the relative time for the replicators to disable the time dilation device was 2 years (which in of itself is relative because a year is one earth orbit of the sun but that’s a separate topic). That’s just to push a button. In this episode it was stated by Thor that they altered the device to counteract the time dilation that occurs from being so close to the singularity of the black hole. What I’m stating is that it still would take them awhile (not smart enough to do the exact calculations) to alter the device because of the time dilation, not caused by the device but because of the black hole itself. Can any of my fellow amateur nerds confirm this? lol
P.s. I’m not super smart so please keep any reply response in layman’s terms.
