I remember this! It's on the Wikipedia page! The writer, was it?, said that he imagined a scene in which Daniel conforted Vala after learning of her miscarriage (this apparently took place during the "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" montage).

I'm so grateful for season 9 and 10. The more DVDs on my shelf the merrier.
