John Shepperd and a wraith were put in jail. They decided to break out together, and the wraith temporarily borrowed his life force to kill enemies, and then returned it.

It could have possibly done so. Its design would have negated the energy of the ascended beings, effectively cancelling out their life energy, something not too dissimilar to the Attero device.

What could be the direction of Stargate Origins? In one of the early Season 1 episodes, declassified records revealed that the US government had conducted tests on the Stargate. A ton of stuff that they tried.
What could be some of the hijinks that they could have occurred?
Also, some of the filler episodes could be rather potential in exploration. One episode could be a flashback of Catherine exploring the stargate in Egypt or perhaps when Ba'al dies while the stargate is in transit.
One thing to remember is that the Stargate stayed outside of the USA for a about a decade and suffered (almost) destruction while in transit to the US. Thus, that could be hijinks.
Anyways, what other ideas could the show head toward?
