I was wondering, how good are the parenting skills of some people. For example on the episode Unending. Where Vala got pregnant by Daniel and she had given birth to a infant or infants. Although, they felt that was unthinkable to raise children on a ship.
So they created a child friendly bassinet equivalent of stasis pod.
So when Teal'c was inside the force field, he would be carrying the bassinet with him.
Vala would be insufferable, and she would love them. Not entirely sure of Daniel. As it not his infant / infants on a technicality.
Same thing about the Destiny Expedition from Common Descent, Epilogue.
Does anyone else wish SG1 seasons 9 and 10 didn't happen? I'm not a fan of the Ori storyline. Or at least made it another series like they did with SGA?
Just after watching 8 seasons, literally hundreds of episodes, just to suddenly have the entire enemy and several main characters completely change makes it feel like another series entirely.
I typically don't dive so deep into a series to read the books, like Star Wars. I tend to like to imagine the show/movies are the only true canon.
But... I love Stargate haha. Does anyone have any opinions? Are they worth spending the time reading? If so, any particular books to recommend?
While, now and then, logically speaking of time travel does appear to make sense. Like in the episodes Before I Sleep and Unending. Although, the episodes from the future mostly seemed off. Like in The Last Man and 2001.
Like how John was given the information from the Hologram McKay and when the note from 2010. When the timelines changed. Could that be assumed the memories of the events wiped out?
