This is a random thought that just popped into my head. If the shows where continued or restarted now what new weapons would Stargate command use? My idea is a modified Rapid Dragon system that uses Atlantean Drone weapons and pushed out of a puddle jumper to be used as a first strike or defensive weapon

I once wanted a game for Stargate Universe, that would work very similar to have the TV show set everything out, basically the game would mostly play in first-person or third-person, except when using the ship's Mainframe display, which would Show the ship similar to have this shows up within certain damaged areas and unlocking those areas and fixing them to improve the ships capabilities.
In that show they have the unique opportunity to use Stargates, as one of them was on board the destiny already, and every single planet within its predetermined path.
And as the crew of this ship, it was your responsibility to stay alive, the ship would provide information of what the ship needed in order to sustain the life that was on board it, it would drop out of FTL and dialogue nearby planet where on this planet there were resources that we're needed on board the ship, the ship would create a timer two when the FTL Drive was ready to jump again, and because it was an automated ship at this point, you had to get your resources back in time before the ship jumps into FTL, when you get back using the gate on that planet, you can then take your resources that you collected on that planet and put them to work on board the ship where are the systems needed it.
Throughout your time on board this ship, you are to unlock secrets about the ship and its mission, keep the ship in good repair as much as possible, because the ship will frequently get attacked by other ships and it has been for millions of years as it was automated, but the ship is near its last leg, so it's up to the human crew to fix up this ship the best I can so that they could be ready for another attack, the ship will automatically turn on its Shields when it's about to be attacked by another ship, and it will turn on its defenses.
As the crew you'll run into these events by a certain chance Gap, whether it be on board the Destiny or offworld on some other planet that you're getting the resources on, as commander of the ship you are tasked to make sure the ship works like a well-oiled machine, which means you need to order the crew to do certain things on board the ship at all times.
You will need somebody who can become an expert at Hydroponics to make sure there is plenty of medicine and food on board the ship for the crew, you'll need somebody that is willing to learn the ancient language and decipher certain aspects of the ship to see if they can unlock them, to uncover the mysteries of the ship, you will need somebody who is a doctor and make sure they have the provisions they need in order to take care of people on board the ship, you will need your guards to rotate their shifts just in case something happens while the commander is sleeping.
Basically how the game would work, is most of the planets will be procedurally generated, except for maybe the resources that you need on them, the ship battles will be procedurally-generated based off of level and experience and capability of the crew and a chance gap, every time you and your team gate to a planet it should be at least four people of at least two soldiers one scientist and one Tech person in case something goes wrong at the gate, the Planet will also have procedurally-generated events such as the team possibly being attacked by an alien or an animal on the planet while they search for resources, maybe even use the animal as food for the crew or maybe find medicinal aspects off of the animal for the doctor to use.
If the crew needs help or information, they could either contact somebody via the communication stones, or use the ancient repository chair and unlocked the knowledge using that.
This type of game will never be made, but one could hope.
Normally I wouldn't touch this type of game, however recently something just happened, people started talking about this new device called the steam deck, this steam deck device I am actually personally excited about, because I have games like this timekeepers game being developed for Stargate that should play well for this type of gaming device.
A little while ago I purchased a game called Homeworld off of steam, well I tried to play the game but I am a person who cannot stand using keyboard and mouse and I thought at the time that all I needed to do was to use a controller software and just create my own bindings, well long story short that didn't pan out as good as I thought it would, now with steam's steam deck I believe that problem will be a thing of the past, anyway I got that game because I saw someone on YouTube playing some mods that had Stargate stuff in them, I actually bought the game because it had a mod that I would have liked to enjoy for Stargate.
So when this Stargate timekeepers game comes out, I will be excited to try it out with the steam deck, right now the steam deck doesn't function with every single game and the entire network of steam, but given enough time and updates, that device will get over the years and possibly even by the time this Stargate timekeepers game comes out, I believe it'll be a better experience.
Anyway what will you guys do when this game comes out?
Now in the show we knew what the Ori supergate looked like, and all the rest of the gates in the series, however we have never seen on screen or off screen what the Ori stargate looks like, so i decided to take this opportunity to present what it could possibly look like based on their style in the show, starting with their version of transporter rings.
Now what i imagined was a possibly milky white ring design, with perhaps an irony white look, i also believe when they activate their stargate that it resembles their insignia that we often see all over their architecture like for example anything from their symbols of clothing of jewelry to the style of the Ori ships interior to their ring transporters.
I was able to present a few photos of the rings that i had to edit to bring out the symbols and reduced fog as i wanted to present these symbols as the very same symbols that they would use to dial their version of stargates.
We already know they have their own version of the gate travel within their galaxy, otherwise how would the first prior come out of a milky way gate to begin with as seen in the show?
Not to mention how they built the supergate by sending smaller objects through their gate to fly through a milky way gate that was established on a beachhead planet.
We also see this symbolism on the Doci, as he wears that device around his neck and and is taken under control by the Ori.
Anyway what do you guys think?
Alteran math. The wiki about the ancients in off. The alterans use base 8 math (The Fifth Race) Thus the number 8 and 9 is never used. It should read 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,,10 (read one zero)
In SGA and SG-1 some characters mention how Earth was at one point a major planet in the Ancient’s empire. Then there’s characters like O’Neil, Sheppard, and Dr. Brewer (I think that’s his name. If not, I mean the Scotty clone from Atlantis) who apparently have Ancient genes. Did the Ancients interbreed with humanity?
We know the Ancients probably just genetically evolved by happenstance/kept themselves genetically edited to look the same (human) as us and not evolve very much physically in the millions of years they lived for, but why do the Nox look like humans in all ways except having a slightly greyer tint? Are the Nox perhaps an offshoot of Ancients, or did they genetically augment themselves to look more human at some point in their history?
I know out of universe it was probably for budget reasons and they didn't have the will nor the CGI to dress up the Nox and make them look alien, but there should be an in-universe reason, like maybe the Ancients and the Nox both only looked vaguely humanoid in the past, and genetically edited themselves over time to a better "form", which is the human physique, but we don't really have any evidence on why they look human.
I’ll be done for a while after this one, enjoy!💙
I know we aren't supposed to look into it too closely, but the Ancients seeded human life (probably genetically influencing our ancestors millions of years back), however if humans evolved so drastically in 10 million years or so, and the Ancients and Ori have existed for millions, why have their bodies stayed essentially identical to their modern counterparts?
i just came to the conclusion the Ori already had stargate & ring travel, long before the SGU gates came into existence.
And here is why i think this is the case...
Sg-1 season 9 ep 3 Origin.
Right after vala dies and is healed back to life by the prior staff, way before the fact they both meet the Doci, a prior is seen walking out of an stargate within the milky way galaxy to convert the ppl of that world.
I don't know why i never noticed this before. But in the ark of truth movie, we see that scientist of the alteran just before they launch away within their spaceship, we see him open his little booklet and on the paper of we see a little drawing of the stargates. and he makes the claim that he had a dream the night before about an amazing idea with the stargates being this idea.
This information suggests that the stargates have already existed long before they even left the Ori galaxy to begin with, or that the Ori gave him that dream and while he was in that dream, he figured out how to make this idea happen, and the Ori took the information of that dream and made it an reality.
It's tough to say, but i think the first stargates to ever be built were by the Ori, because it's also explained within the episode Avalon part 2 when Dr. Jackson is reading that book in that vault that talks about the alteran leaving their galaxy and how long it takes before they reach a great belt of stars (the milky way) Danial mentions it took them a few thousand years go by, before they reach this belt of stars, i assume they were in some kind of FTL travel before they reached the milky way galaxy, i would also assume they had some kind of stasis pods for such a long journey as it's the only thing that makes sense.
Then when they are established within the milky way galaxy is when the scientist who had the dream about his idea of the stargates puts it into motion for the first time.
But thousands of years have passed since they left the Ori galaxy, and presumably the Ori already have an gate system established within their galaxy, which also means they would of had an head start in perfecting these stargates in how they function long before the SGU gates were ever built to begin with.
Now it all makes sense in how the Ori came to have built stargate Technology before they left for the milky way, and how they built the supergates and ring transporters. maybe that dream also had the ring platform idea in there as well, but that tech didn't exist for the alteran civilization until some time after they launched Destiny as the Destiny doesn't have ring transporters and only has old fashioned elevator tech installed.
There are 4 versions of stargates out there, only one was built by the Ori and the others were built by the alteran.
this is so crazy after all this time of watching this show i thought i knew about everything, i thought i understood everything perfectly until now.
There are 4 stargate systems out there. and the Ori have the 1st version to be created in their galaxy. i can only imagine they look like their ring transporters within the Ori galaxy, i can only imagine they are golden with beautiful writing of engraved symbols around the ring for the addresses.,
The show implies that she was to a certain degree, however we have seen atlantian stasis tech before, and it doesn't freeze ppl in ice like she was discovered in, not to mention this would kill an atlantian. now my theory's are as follows.
She could very well be the most advanced atlantian human to have ever lived. it's true the atlantians were experimenting with their own DNA long before they knew about the wraith, as Atlantis for the first time ever, takes off from earth and heads to Pegasus galaxy she was found having some kind of conversation that the audience wasn't ever clued into and it ends up that she stays behind on earth as Atlantis leaves earth.
She also had the ability to heal ppl and communicate through touch and perhaps feeling. but they found her and melted the ice, but she was dying of the contagion that wiped out her race 10,000 years prior, however it seemed her memory wasn't all that intact and she couldn't speak or do anything else that suggested her intellect that the atlantians were known for.
I suspect she was one of the many experimented Atlantians through DNA manipulation, although i'm not sure she had these abilities before or after the contagion spread. but doctors and scientists must have known her to be an important asset and gave her an DNA manipulation unlike no other.
How did she withstand the ice for 10,000 years but she also died off of that same contagion that wiped out so many of her kind so long ago.
We have run into atlantians before who had some special upgrades in their DNA, but O'Neill when he got his head sucked into that ancient archive that boosted his knowledge the first time, but the second time it boosted his knowledge and also gave him some of the special abilities such as healing, communicating through touch.
then we go to merlin's version of this device where danieal not only had merlin's mind sharing with his own but he also had the ability to use telekinesis, intellect, and other powers. merlin's device was much more advanced than previous versions of this tech. and i mentioned DNA changes, i assume this was the intention of the tech in the first place, it was a tool to teach and change the users DNA.
Merlin's device is by far the most advanced version of this tech, as it allowed the user some control in how much information was transferred at any given point in time and also allowed the user to virtually build something in hologram from into an actual printed piece of tech when he built the Sungral but merlin built many of these same stations on many other planets to hide his laboratory, or it was all the same tech and only moved every time the gate auto dialed to make the transfer.
Now merlin's device as far as we know didn't make changes to his DNA that would allow him to live in ice without aging at all, and he used an atlantian stasis pod so that he could continue his work when the time came to do so, but he came out very old where she was still very young looking.
Anyway, i have said all i can say on this topic. maybe someone else has an idea how and why she survived all this time in the ice but still died to the contagion. i also wonder why she was left behind while Atlantis embarked for Pegasus, it looked like an heated argument.
The Nox decided to be pacifists, Asgards kicked the bucket, Ancients ascended (and other crud, not getting into that), but what happened to the Furlings? I think it was mentioned at some point, but I don't remember if so.
Like in the episodes of "The Return, Part 1" "The Return, Part 2" where the Ancients have returned and told Atlantis Expedition go away.
What if later the Atlantis Expedition found because Elizabeth Weir told them about a duplicate of Atlantis once belonged to the Niam's Faction. On a new planet and for the sake of it maybe named New Atlantia.
Would the Ancients have the justification to claim any duplicates, because they have created the Asurans?
These aren’t mine, I just found them online and wanted to share them, if they’re yours and you want me to take them down let me know
Hi guys, Does anybody know what inspired the creation of the Ancients/ ascended beings? As far as I can tell they were introduced in “Maternal Instinct” by Robert c Cooper, but what was the research used to create them? Is there a link to channeled material? (The Ra material, Seth material) etc, Thank you.
