But that conversation has nothing to do with this, it's completly unrelated.

This plague came long before our intervention with the Ori, like at least 4 million years earlier before they left for Pegasus to escape the plague that supposedly came from the Ori.

So again, how did they get exposed when the Ori didn't know where the milky way galaxy was? and then after they all died off and ascended, they supposedly shielded us from the Ori's view.

The only reason to why Adria exists is to sneak in one pass the border. I don't remember much of the shows.

The way I always justified it was that some of Ori ascended first, gained greater knowledge of the universe and found out that the Ancients (Alteran) had survived and were living in the Milky Way. They then sent the plague to wipe out the Ancients, which did destroy most of the Alteran civilisation. Some surviving Ancients ascended and started shielding the Milky Way, some Ancients left for Pegasus, some stayed behind to use the Dakara superweapon to reseed life throughout the Milky Way, The Ascended Ancients started shielding the Milky Way so that the Ori would think that they won and that the Milky Way had no humanoid life.

During and after the war with the Wraith, more Ancients ascended. This meant the power balance of Ascended Ori and Ascended Ancients were quite similar. But because the Ancients believe in free will and non-inference, they did nothing to stop Daniel and Vala from going to Ori home galaxy, and as soon as they stepped into that galaxy the Ori knew that there are humans in the Milky Way, and then they needed more power and more believers to destroy the Ancients.

As to how the Ori infected the Ancients: they could have sent people to the Milky Way to infect the Ancients, or an ascended Ori could have engineered the virus from nothing or modifying an existing virus (we have seen Ascended Ori modify human DNA to create the Priors), Ori plagues are designed to lay low and infect as many people as possible.

I always thought the plague the Alteran's got millions of years ago when Atlantis was still on Earth came from ---- well us humans

The Alteran's that talked to SG1 (Oma and Morgan) stated that Humans were so primitive and that the Alterans could not rebild the advanced city ships on Earth. i figured it happened like this

1. The Alteran Moros created the OG stargates these gates look like the SG1 type gates. (Ark of Truth shows these gates)

2. The Alterans left the OG galaxy after the fight with the Ori, and the Ark of Truth is built by Moros

3. Alterans find Earth, created Destiny and Seed ships (Moros creates a 2nd generation gate system for the seed ships)

4. Million years later - they create Milky Way gates (Moros creates a 3rd generation gate system for the Milky way that looks like 1st gen gates but are made out of Naquadia - guessing that is the reason he went back to the OG look)

5. Atlantis is created as are other City Ships, at this time "Cavemen" appear on earth, Alterans immune systems can not "Fight" the bacteria cavemen have, Plague starts

6. Few 100 years later, the Alterans are leaving earth because of the plague, but only the healthy ones are leaving the sick ones die out on earth

7. Atlantis enters the Peg. Galaxy, Alterans become the Ancestors and seed that galaxy with life, they create the Wrath (Moros creates a 4th generation gate system for the Peg. Galaxy, major advancements)

8. The war with the Wrath starts, 100 years later it ends as the Ancestors assend into the Ancients.

9. On Earth in the 5th century, Merlin returns to human(ish) form and creates the Round Table knights

that was actually very well written, but there were some things you got incorrect, so it was Amelius who created the first gen gates, not Moros and the first gen gates were the SGU gates probably first tested and used in the milky way galaxy for a time only to later on be dismantled and replaced by the new version of gates, but they sent out their seed ships before the second gen gates came into existence.

oh and the plague killed all of the Alterans including all life in the milky way galaxy, and in order to stop the plague the Alteran set the Dakara weapon to destroy all life to destroy the plague, that same weapon on Dakara also could create life.

my speculation is that the ones who were on Atlantis, when they came back to the milky way galaxy, they set in motion the Dakara platform to reseed life in the galaxy, then they all eventually ascended.

also the second generation gates and 3rd generation gates would likely have been invented by some other scientist generations down the line as a millennia passed between each generation of stargate network created, this is all according to the 150 million years of the Alteran society from beginning to end, from the peak of their civilization all the way to the point of when they all ascended.

the wiki used to make the speculation that the Ori didn't ascend until some time after the Alteran ascended, which makes no sense imo, because it suggests that the they held their followers under their control all this time without the need of the ascended Ori controlling over the populations, which i believe it was the other way around, where the Ori ascended first and then after many millions of years, the Alteran ascended.

honestly it's even possible that the first ascended Ori existed just before the Alteran left their home galaxy. but then later on down into their history, they recruited many to guide their power through a legion of ascended beings to better delegate and distribute their power over their galaxy.

according to Adria, there were a great many within the fold of the ascended, but Merlins weapon destroyed them all as she was able to absorb their power.
