I think it might be cool so long as they weren't destroyed by the Ori when they were invading the galaxy.
The show never really brought up all the damage within the milky way galaxy or what planets survived the assult, so assuming they survived the Ori, it might be an intriguing story to tell.
Also not to mention the galaxy wide replicator attack when Anubis was trying to take Dakara, as every gate in the galaxy was dialed all at once as replicators stormed the gate to presumably hundreds of thousands of planets taking over all planets until the Dakara weapon was activated and eliminated them.
Again the show rarely goes into detail of these stories, the audience is just told a brief idea of what's going on.
@Dragonfly82 did i miss something? How do we know he's not dead?
Go to Joe's page and look at References.
Maybe, they will ""When the time comes, cut the green one" is a line from the Alternative Cameron Mitchell from Ripple Effect 9x13 from Stargate SG-1.
I mean, I am going through the new rpg and it just dropped that the aschen were responsible for the giant bug that stung tealc in season 2.
Doesn't count. It's a game.
What game are you talking about?
www.stargatetherpg.com
Oh this is the tabletop game, yeah I don't really care about that, I'm not likely to play it either.
It's weird how they always choose some kind of game that I don't want to play, they think name recognition alone is going to get me there.
However coming back to the giant bug who stung teal'c, I would believe that the Ashen possibly created that bug, but then again it's not exactly there motive of expertise to completely decimate a race by releasing a giant bug that replicates itself and kills off the entire population only to leave that world completely untouched after the fact.
But then again, the bug could have possibly been created by them when they were first engineering the bug as a biological weapon, that could essentially take over a society, but you would think that they would create an alternative biological agent to eradicate the entire species so that they can take the entire planet for themselves.
At least that's the logic that I would use in that scenario.
Because their race found out that it was easier to take over other planets by appearing to be benevolent technology sharing people who want to help other people fight other aliens species that who might threaten them in some way such as the Goa'uld.
But with enough time with that race, the vaccine that they create that causes the people to have perfect health, also has the side effect of sterility so that the population cannot grow and eventually they become a less advanced culture slowly being taken over by the Ashen, as they take over worlds using the long game instead of a direct biohazard attack.
However it does make you wonder how they took out the Goa'uld, it's funny, because in later seasons of Stargate SG-1 they find out that there is a bile weapon that can pretty much eradicate the symbiotes within the Goa'uld as they ended up using it so many times on ba'al so many times and any other Goa'uld for that matter.
But going back to the Ashen, it's entirely possible that they also did this themselves when they eradicated the Goa'uld, the weird thing is, you would think that their civilization would still be out there during this time, are they just slowly taking over worlds still? Or do you think they possibly got overtaken when the Ori invaded the milky way galaxy?
I try to think of these reasons of all of these other races that SG-1 discovered in the past, and I like to look at their information and present it as an alternative story that was never really told behind the scenes, but it was suggested that something like this happened based off of the scale of the situation.
What do you think?
