I think it might be cool so long as they weren't destroyed by the Ori when they were invading the galaxy.
The show never really brought up all the damage within the milky way galaxy or what planets survived the assult, so assuming they survived the Ori, it might be an intriguing story to tell.
Also not to mention the galaxy wide replicator attack when Anubis was trying to take Dakara, as every gate in the galaxy was dialed all at once as replicators stormed the gate to presumably hundreds of thousands of planets taking over all planets until the Dakara weapon was activated and eliminated them.
Again the show rarely goes into detail of these stories, the audience is just told a brief idea of what's going on.
