I hate using the word cautiously optimistic, but it does come across as a good answer when it comes to this situation.
But I am excited kind of, I realize it's for the entirety of MGM, and not just Stargate, but I do hope they bring the franchise back as of this is the biggest chance we'll probably ever get through this deal.
But I'm afraid they'll either not touch it at all, or when they do touch it they'll Destroy a once great story in series and throwing political crap trap, to the point of non recognizable series.
I hope they put the series completely in the hands of Brad Wright, and all of the same dudes who were involved before in the writing process. I only trust these writers and producers.
Amazon has had a lot of crap and their video streaming service for years now, so I'm excited good stuff will be playing for once. Amazon's original series some of them are good, but a lot of them are just unappealing and they don't have a good selection of science fiction series.
I listen to Robert C Cooper the other day when he was on YouTube being interviewed, and he seems hopeful that we'll have a comeback for sure. But it's too soon to say what will happen.
I actually have concerns if Brad and the others are in charge, as from what I've been noticing they actually appear to have either forgotten the lore they made in the series or go by books which either rewrite the lore or miss some pieces of it.
Well that's to be expected to a certain degree since they've been working on different projects all these years. I'm sure it'll all come back when they are given the job. Maybe they have to re-watch some of their old shows do whatever it is they need to do they get themselves back in gear get that creative writing to come back.
But I still trust them coming back over some random person out there who creates a story, we've had a lot of writers like that for these past 10 years on various different movies and shows who have either completely destroyed the lore of the shows they write for or they just don't know how to write good stories.
It's almost like the New writers have lost the ability to write compelling stories or perhaps the New writters never really knew how to make good storytelling. And they just depend on the special effects and the music to get them through the show.
I am not willing to take on a new set of writers especially right now with that nonsense going on in so many other shows and movies.
The issue is that they were forgetting the SG lore During SGU, and at the end of SGA
Do you have any examples to point to? Because I thought they were pretty consistent with the lore they were creating for themselves.
I guess I just don't know what your referring to.
What do you think?
