I would think so, because tretonin is simply an drug created from Symbiote larva.
Which i find silly because the whole point of tretonin was to get off of dependence of the gould, but this way you are just as dependent on the drug and weaker because the jaffa doesn't get the full effect of the symbiote anymore.
Your still enslaved by the gould if you still need the drug that is made from an symbiote to survive.
not to mention the jaffa who didn't have his symbiote couldn't sense the presence of gould anymore and the jaffa also couldn't get an extended life and would age quicker without the larva.
In my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.
Removing the larva may limit your dependence on the gould, but you still need the drug made from the larva in order to continue living without dieing and keeping your strength.
