I would take the weapons that don't run out of ammo, AKA any of the energy weapons like an Zat or that one Ronan holds. maybe not the staff weapon, however maybe the smaller version of the staff weapon that's imbedded within gauntlets like what the super solders had, they had a rapid fire rate and more precision than the typical staff weapon.

Although the staff weapon's blast fire was much more powerful and could kill with one shot in the right place.

But yeah, i like the fact that they pretty much don't run out of ammo. the show made the audience believe they had a limit, but they never reached that limit in the show so we may never know when a ZAT gun or an staff weapon will ever run out.

I know O'Neill took a staff weapon apart to take out it's power source to boost the stargates power to dial the 8th chevron and that essentially depleted it, but it almost seems like the staff weapons never run out of power.

I could be wrong but i think the power source was Naquda, and this could explain why their weapons lasted forever.

I mean earth weapons are good and all, but because they run out of ammo so often, it makes it a difficult choice, if i were to use any of earth's weaponry i would choose grenades' as they have the ability to kill multiple targets at one time, or flash bombs for surprise attacks.

However earth weaponry are really the only real thing that holds against the replicators where energy based weapons such as staff weapons or zat guns are pretty much useless. it would be cool to have an weapon that could do both bullets and energy blasts.

I'd go with a Zat and wraith handblaster. They're both small and not too bulky and inconvenient like staffs, and I'd just guess lightweight compared to the big guns, good with their energy ammo, plus it would be easier to take people down just stunning them without causing much of mess, or leaving evidence behind, and seems more of a humane and painless way to kill.

The reason why I'd consider going for both is that the Zat is handy for its stun, kill, vaporize abilities besides just stunning, but if you get ambushed of whatnot, at least the wraith handblaster won't need a second to pop open first, lol.

Now if i wanted to kill with precision and stealth, i would choose an earth weapon with an silencer, and maybe a few of those grenades' that release that symbote killing gas, if dealing with gould or jaffa.

Can you imagine an episode like that. where there are assassins or space thief's who do contracted stealth missions to obtain rare gould artifacts and weaponry?

Sounds kind of cool to me, and the only ppl that resemble anything like this in stargate was when Anubis sent 2 of his assassins who were jaffa that specialized in stealth and covert intel, i remember these guys looked like ninjas with katanas and they had the ability to slow down their heartbeats to appear dead using kelnureme that meditative thing that teal'c does instead of sleep.

But then after sg1 dealt with them, no other assassin like that seemed to cross paths with them again.
