Are there going to be any move seasons for 'Stargate Universe '? It ended with the possibility of additional seasons. I for one would like to see more.

That makes sense for the website rules, but that doesn't mean their opinion is factual when it comes to cannon.
I mean the only way i would accept any of the novels as cannon is if the actual writers of the TV shows chimed in and said they are indeed cannon.
That's where the standards are with most franchises.
For an example, there was an fanfiction called "stargate horizons" back in the day that was created long before the events of SGU but in that fanfiction series they explain that the ninth and final chevron goes to the hawkan galaxy where there was a long but forgotten threat to the ancients this series was created long before we knew that the ancients were the same race as the atlantian's and later explaining their true race name being alteran.
The series was actually pretty good but it was all fan fiction, especially when the cannon changed for the show. but it was still considered as non cannon because it wasn't written by the show writers. and the same standard applies here with these novels.
I would consider the novels as fanfiction. there was an youtuber i ran into who did lore videos of stargate who decided to talk about the history of the atlantians, and at some point during the video, he started talking about material that wasn't in the show, and nore did he throw up any disclaimer that this information came from the novels, but he was pretending that they were cannon.
Which bugged the hell out of me, as you can tell from most of my responses on this matter. and i left a comment on his video as well about this, i said to him that he can't use the novels as cannon as they aren't in the show.
but i asked if he would at least put an disclaimer in his videos when he did bring up information from the novels, not to confuse the actual cannon with the fanfiction of the novels.
I think it's great that fanfiction exists, but i think ppl should use some kind of disclaimer every time they use lore that comes from the novels so it doesn't get confused in conversation.
I for one love speculation and fanfiction, but i never count my speculation or fanfictions as cannon, because i know it's simply not the truth of the matter.
Anyway, i've probably beaten this horse to death by now lol.
Firstly, there is a huge difference between fanfiction and novels that were licensed lol.
Also, as for the OFFICIAL reason that it's canon (and not my personal opinions as it was in the other post lol) is because MGM themselves declared it as canon. The books literally go through extensive reviewal and approval processes by MGM.
MGM owns the franchise so THEY decide what's canon and what isn't. And the books are canon. @Cubbyman1 That's a fact. Not an opinion. Also, they could at any time be removed from canon, should MGM approve shows that retcon it of course, but for NOW it is canon.
(Btw, @Dragonfly82 sorry, but I'm not an admin of this specific wiki. My name does show up on the dropdown list of featured users since I have done a lot of work editing and page adding, and remain active. So I got that going for me at least. lol But, yeah, I never tried to ask Thurgood for admin controls or anything.)
Just saying, if by any means, would you by against if I recommend you to the admins?
Ok thank you McKayRulez·. this helps me a lot more than you know. i didn't know that MGM actually licensed it, so sorry about this dragging your name through the imaginary mud lol,
i just needed to know what the actual facts were on this matter, now i can go and read the novels and accept them as actual episodes and lore of the show and not fanfiction.
I still think there needs to be an disclaimer of some kind telling others when they bring up information from the novels as not everyone knows of them or has even read them.
I know someone talked about the SGU comic being cannon, but i could not accept that either, firstly i don't like comics i mean reading them, i would rather they just told the story without the art style getting in the way of the story telling. but that's just me. and i chose not to read that comic for that reason as it was hard to understand and follow the story within comic form.
It would be cool if someone were to get the information from the comic and just do the story through text, it just makes it easier to consume for the reader and less of an chore when getting confused in where the story was going because of distractions within the comic that confuses the reader.
Oh, that's nice of you. I don't mind. Thank you. :)
A little off topic. But I'm trying to add an photo for my avitar and trying to change my username, but I haven't been successful in figuring it out.
Is there some kind of special thing I need to do in order to make these changes? Previous attempts have failed as I would always get some weird error and it would not save any of my changes.
To have a username to be changed go and read this. https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Help:Changing_your_username
I will go and ask now.
Ah, that's fine lol. They really were opinions that were being placed at you, until the clarification. lol. As for the disclaimer, at least for the wiki, things are cited with the book cites. They are given there at the end of the paragraph, but I'd understand if that might annoy you if it wasn't a paragraph solely on book info and was mixed with multiple different sources both show and book.
If there are any comic questions you'd wish to know about or think something needs a page, feel free to ask me!
As for your avatar question, what does the error say specifically?
To change your username you need to use the user special tool.
@Dragonfly82 Thank you!
What do you think?
