That battle doesn't really say that it would turn out different for the ori than it did for the ancients. The exact same thing happened with the wraith when they fought the ancients. They fight, the wraith get slaughtered. So the wraith send more ships to get slaughtered again. And again. And again. Multiply that a couple hundred times, the total tax on the Ancient shields means the ships have to retreat back a bit to the next territory. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum until the wraith have consumed all the territory.
Also, the replicators don't really mean much. The asgard's mistake was to think their technology could overcome the enemy, a mistake you see when you see other ppl make when they talk about replicators against other universes.
Well, the Prior have powers and they could do to Wraiths that attacked them with they did to Volnek.
If the Wraith send 40 Ships, they will have to destroy the ships if the ships were to return.
The Ori will use the Trojan Horse Approach.
But would that really be able to turn the tide against the wraith? I mean if they could, why didn't they use an army of indestructible zombie people against the milky way instead of sacrificing their own followers? The zombie thing seems to be effective against a small group caught unaware but there seems to be limitations to using that else they'd have an easy unkillable army.
The Ori don't care of their followers. They are nothing, just pawns.
They're also a mean of getting power by siphoning off of them through worship. Sure subjugating the Milky Way would get them more in the long run but they'll get even more if they don't toss them away.
There is one thing, I don't understand about the Ori. The Priors found out Adria is lying to them like the Ori.
Why didn't all the Priors self combust?
You can say a lot about Richard Woolsey, but he knew when not to step over some lines, and some ambiguous lines he did, like the Pegasus Trial and siding against Robert Kinsey.
So far even if that means disobeying rules or orders for the greater good to the point, he felt guilty about breaking the rules and the orders.
How many can say the same about James Marrick? The guy did almost help the Ori win. Sure, he died. But it was of his own making.
While the Aschen would have been able wiping out the Wraith, however. the Ori would end the Aschen.
Had the Aschen send their Biogenic Weapon which killed everyone on City of Celestis.
They would had signed their own death warrant, it's inconceivable on the retribution of the Ori.
Honestly, if the Ori didn't kill people, because they did not want to embrace Origin, and respected other religions, and they didn't impregnate non consensual women. I would not be much against them.
What do you think?
