Because one Wraith Queen wanted to use the retrovirus as a gas to turn Enemy Wraith Hive Ships into humans to eat them. So why not just cut out the middleman and open buffet.

I have a idea, why not have a feeding station on the Wraith Hive Ships which are solar powered which converts to similar to the life force. I have solved the Wraith Galaxy Hunger.
