Stargate SG1 The Quest Part 1

When Daniel Jackson has the four planets on the computer screen, they show an equilateral tetrahedron. After several thousand years of stellar drift, it is highly unlikely that the planets would remain in such a configuration.

SG-1 Icon

In the beginning of this episode, the Stargate in the Rand Protectorate moves while being dialed from Earth. Isn't this a goof?

Message Walls activated

I have activated Message walls today. This feature replaces your talk page. This is a new form of message wall that is formatted like a threaded format where conversation is kept track in an orderly fashion. Everything is kept in an orderly manner for easier to read manner. Best of all, it automatically attaches your name to it (don't have to add ~~~~).

Don't worry. your old messages are still archived. For example, my archive is here

To find yours, please replace my name with yours.
The new feature is active for everyone. Let me know what you think about it.

I, MechQueste, Stargate Admin, will be gone for the month of August

I am MechQueste. As you may have noticed, I am an administrator here on Stargate Wiki. It has been a pleasure working with all of you. I've been coming daily and helping out with editing along with any admin tasks (rare).
I wanted to let you know that I will be offline for the month of August. In my absence, there will be a slight gap of presence, if admin powers are needed. If you see any obvious spam or blatant vandalism, please report to the vstf at Aside from that, do ask Anubis 10545 for any administrative tasks to deal with, as he is currently active in exploring the galaxy with his wonderful Hatak.

Best of luck in editing! See you in September. Indeed!

Introducing the announcement feature

FANDOM has recently released a new feature that I am sure will benefit this community, as well as many others, greatly – Announcements. This new feature allows administrators, assistants, and Discussions moderators to highlight a Discussions post using FANDOM's new notification system, meaning it will be delivered to all active users on the wiki, even mobile users. Thus, we will finally bridge the gap between the wiki and its Discussions.

However, there’s more: Announcements isn’t just for Discussions. In fact, I've made the wiki's first announcement direct users to a forum thread (this one) to make this point abundantly clear. Local staff members can use the feature to announce any URL on FANDOM; a forum, blog, or Discussions post; or even an article. However, there are some differences between announcements and the wiki's current "highlight" tool.

Firstly, while highlighting a post shares it with every logged-in user on the wiki, no matter where on the FANDOM platform they are! Announcements are only shown to users who have made an action (edit, upvote, or post) in the past 90 days. This ensures that users who stumble across the wiki but are not active community members will not be bothered by any announcements we make. Note that if a user makes their first action after an announcement is made, they still won't see that announcement, even if it has not expired yet.

One thing to remember though is that we can only have one announcement active at a time, and by default an announcement will last for 30 days. Fortunately, if we plan on making announcements more often than that (e.g. proposals, mythology, even off-topic discussion), we can manually expire an announcement before 30 days have passed and just create a new one.

I hope you all enjoy this feature just as much as I am. Read more here,_a_new_way_to_notify_your_community

The Return.

Was I the only one who felt the Ancients were jerks about locking the city and telling the Atlantis Expedition to leave? Helia seemed annoyed when Jack and Woolsey was talked back to her and she blamed them for awakening the Wraith? When the Ancients did make the Replicators and the Wraiths. I don't think the Atlantis Expedition would be allowed to return and the Ancient would had taken the city and moved.

How did the events of Origins not spill over into the "real world"?

Im looking at events over the series. Like the destruction of the Temple of Aset in episode 10 or other events. Like, would have someone "said" something in the real world? enough that someone could get a person's attention? and world authorities to investigate?

Will there be a future Stargate film/tv show

Aside from franchise fatigue, there may be possibilities to actually have another tv show.
I'm thinking of centering on a few of the side teams, like SG-2, SG-3, and films based on stuff in the far future.

The Destiny's Address

How is it possible that Rush was able to dial Destiny? Also, for that matter, how is it that the Destiny is able to use its Stargate at all? It's established that the gate has to be calibrated to a specific planet, which was what caused the difficulty with the programming for the Midway Space Station. If the Destiny is constantly flying through space, it should be impossible for the gate to work, unless it is constantly updating for stellar/planetary drift on a second-by-second basis.

Stargate ... copout ... I mean Origins

So is it just me or is the whole Stargate Origins just terrible. From the Star Trek Discovery looking Goa'uld, to the all female leaders on all sides, to the forcefully gay Ra's Jaffa, to the totally cheap explanation of the fact the series doesn't fit anywhere in the rest of the franchise. Explaining away the whole thing as amnesia.
and don't even get me started on the damn revolving camera things at the end of every episode.

Is it just me? What did you guys thing of it?

Stargate Origins - A series meant as film?

I watched Stargate origins recently. Given that its 10 episodes with run tim eof 10 minutes each, it can be seen as a movie. The whole thing is cohesive and can easily be seen as split into multiple scenes. Each can easily lead into the moment and cuts to black in the same way. This series is more of a "origins" movie, akin to a earlier version of the original Stargate movie. This is like that.

On the episode The Lost City (Part 1), Kinsey comes down to SGC and meets with SG-1 and Weir. I noticed that O'Neill sits in Hammond's old seat, at the office end of the briefing room.

Does anyone else see this as foreshadowing to him becoming SGC leader and having to sit in that seat for the briefings of all the teams? Bit random, I know but a nice detail if so.
